Our goal at The Fieldhouse is better, whatever that may look like for you. It is our mission to provide our members with top of the line equipment for workout, recovery, and testing.

We are here to help! Whether you are coming back from a period of rest, injury, or just looking to challenge yourself in new ways, The Fieldhouse has what you need!

We have custom built programs for each individual, scientifically backed and grounded in experience, our trainers can help guide you to your goal of better, or you are welcome to utilize the gym under your own knowledge as well!

MEET THE TEAM

OWNER/HEAD TRAINER

Roberto Alaniz "ROB"

 An Abilene Christian University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and ACU Football Alumni. Rob started as an intern on day 1 of The Fieldhouse opening its doors to Abilene, Tx and is now the current owner and head trainer. Rob is our Guided Training Program Designer, so he takes care of all consults and getting clients comfortable with the program before letting them off on their own. He takes on personal training as well. Rob never sits still so you’ll have to track him down in the gym, but he’s your man for any technical training/injury questions!

General Manager

Jessica Parsons "JESS"

An Abilene Christian University Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning. Jess first started at The Fieldhouse as a client of Rob under the Guided Training Program. Now, she has kept the place running for the last 4 years! Helps with guided training and anything else as needed, but knows paperwork, memberships, and any technical office questions forwards and backwards. Come see her if you need help with your membership!

 Personal Trainer/Member Service Representative

Ryan Bornemeier 

An Abilene Christian University graduate with his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and currently finishing up his Master’s degree in Strength, Conditioning, and Human Performance. Ryan is also a member of the ACU Track & Field team where he competes in the hurdling events. Ryan started at the Fieldhouse as an intern during his undergrad years, then was hired on to our staff. He helps with our Guided Training program, Youth Training, and takes on his own clients for personal training.

Mackenzie Knight

An Abilene Christian University graduate with Bachelors and Masters degree in Nutrition and a completed dietetic internship! Mackenzie pole vaulted for ACU and transitioned to coaching as well throughout her education. She is your girl for all things nutrition! Member Service Representative

Thomas Ivey

Currently attending Cisco College pursuing a degree in Biology. He finished his 16 year, 2 time state medalist wrestling career at Concordia University in Nebraska. Thomas helps out with our front desk, recovery, and equipment maintenance!

Youth Program Coordinator

Eriel Dorsey

A McMurry University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Minor in Business. Eriel was a part of the McMurry Football team during his time in college. He currently works for Fed-Ex, as one of their drivers. He started at The Fieldhouse as a client of Rob’s and later on decided to take on training young athletes personally. After gaining some experience, he was hired on to lead our new Youth Training Program. 

Soccer League Commissioner

Martin Castro

A McMurry University graduate with Bachelor’s degree in sociology. He currently works as a project manager at Texoma. Martin was one of the first ever members of The Fieldhouse back in 2017. He also worked as a member services representative for The Fieldhouse back in the day. Martin has a deep passion for soccer and approached The Fieldhouse staff about the need for an adult here in Abilene! The rest is history.

Mariel Delgado

An Abilene Christian University graduate with her Bachelors in Interior Design and Masters in Architecture. Currently working as a registered interior designer at Jacob Martin and an adjunct professor at ACU. Mariel first started as a client of Rob’s under the Guided Training Program. She also helped us with our social media for a couple of years before she transitioned to helping Martin with our Soccer League being a second commissioner! 

Football League Commissioner

Leo Brownfield

A McMurry University graduate with his Bachelors in Business Management. Leo was a member of the McMurry Football team during his time in college. He is the Owner of Leo’s Warzone, which is a mobile paintball/jellyball company. Leo started at The Fieldhouse as a client of Rob’s in the Guided Training program. He has a deep passion for the game of Football and after a Soccer league was created here, he believed a Football league is something he would love to be a part of making happen!
